Screwing Sure-Board® to metal framing
is no different from screwing plywood or drywall. One of the advantages over
plywood is that Sure-Board® requires no furring to accommodate the drywall
operation.
Also, you are installing the drywall
at the same time. This combined operation saves time and money for the
contractor. It can also be used on the exterior of the building by laminating
exterior board products to the sheet steel.
The length of Sure-Board® can be
manufactured to accommodate any special job condition. Less shear wall square
footage is needed due to the superior strength of Sure-Board® over other shear
wall products (plywood, X-bracing, etc.).
Sure-Board® installs flush with
standard drywall to save finishing costs. Additional uses of Sure-Board® include
backing for cabinets and equipment, security walls, high impact gymnasium
walls.
