Sure-Board® Series 200W is the underlayment that requires no furring. Saves both labor and materials.

Series 200W is the perfect shear panel, even if walls are pre-fabricated. 200W is a simple replacement for plywood sheathing, creating a stronger wall with no additional furring required.

Series 200W need only be installed where structurally required, therefore the installed cost of Series 200W is less than that of plywood, while providing even greater strength for your building.

Unlike sheathing with plywood, Series 200W is not affected by inclement weather, nor is there any structural deterioration due to moisture exposure when installed during construction.

Series 200 and 200W has been successfully used as backing for any surface mounted fixtures including oxygen bottles, cabinets, equipment and electronics in Hospitals, Urgent Care units and Assisted living facilities.

Series 200 and 200W may be cut for heat and electrical just as in plywood, but with the advantage that the sheet metal transfers the shear and the need for some of the strapping required with plywood is eliminated.

Identical "cyclic" structural tests performed on wood framed walls comparing Sure-Board® series 200W and our proprietary compression posts (cp) have demonstrated 47% less displacement than an equally framed and nailed 15/32 OSB shear panels.

Sure-Board® Series 200W in wood framing requires only a 1-1/2” thick bottom plate per the tested and approved assemblies. Eliminating 3 x on all 1st floors eliminates the cost of cutting all of the studs and posts and eliminates toe nailing all of the studs substantially reducing labor and materials.

Series 200W’s flexibility in radius bending for arch formations, lends itself ideally as a complete backing surface for drywall.
