In tests performed in 2002 at the ITS facility, testing of 200W with MDF on 2x4” wood studs verified no adverse effect to any existing 1 hour and 2 hour fire rated assemblies.

Product Composition
22 gage (.027 inches) galvanized sheet steel per ASTM A 653 CS laminated to 1/8” MDF (Medium Density Fiber-Board)or 1/8” MgO Board™ ASTM E84 / AC 386.

Type II
MgO Board™, has no combustible properties - ideal for non-combustible Type II construction.
